Bachelor's degree (1985), Master's degree (1991) and PhD (1999) by the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra. Aggregation by the Faculty of Law of UCP. She completed her law practice in Porto (1987). She is Full Professor at the Faculty of Law of UCP-Porto (Catholic University of Portugal), where she teaches the disciplines of Family Law, Civil Procedural Law, Inheritance Law, Marital Property Regime and Succession Planning, Appeals in Civil Cases (Master degree), and one of the Doctoral programme?s seminars. He was part of the Installing Commission of the Institute of Family Sciences and was a member of the Board of the UCP Institute of Bioethics. She is a member of the Scientific Council of the UCP Institute of Bioethics. She is a member of the Direction of the Family Law Center of the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and Partner of the Bioethics Center - Coimbra. She is the author of numerous publications in the scope of Family Law, Civil and Civil Procedural Law, and Bioethics.
