Digital Dependencies in Children and Adolescents
The CNECV, in collaboration with the Spanish Bioethics Committee, is preparing an opinion entitled “Ethical Perspectives on the Impact of Digital Use/Dependency on the Health of Children and Young People.”
The Portuguese rapporteurs for the opinion are Paula Pinto Freitas (child psychiatry), João Queiroz e Melo (medicine), and André Dias Pereira (law). The Spanish rapporteurs are Carmen Borrell (public health), Isolina Riaño (paediatrics), and Juan Carlos Siurana (philosophy).
The collaboration between Portugal and Spain is being presented at the 34th NEC Forum, taking place in Warsaw on 26 and 27 June, reinforcing the commitment to an Iberian ethical approach to digital transformations and their effects on society.
