Lisbon Regional Forum discusses vulnerability and the humanisation of healthcare

On 21 January, the National Council of Ethics for the Life Sciences (CNECV) held the Lisbon Regional Forum at Casa de Saúde da Idanha, in Belas, as part of the States General of Bioethics. The session was dedicated to the protection of vulnerability and the humanisation of healthcare in practice.

Mental health was one of the key topics addressed, with particular attention given to the protection of people in vulnerable situations, the importance of addressing stigma, and reflection on support mechanisms for those who provide care. Dignity at the end of life and palliative care were also part of the discussion.
